Exxaro’s Elaine Hattingh and COOi Studios’ Sandiso Sibisi co-presented on Open Innovation on the Mining 2050 stage at INDABA, South Africa, on May 11th 2022. They examined several case studies of how open innovation has benefited mining organisations.

This is an interesting article and has some pretty profound implications for mining at depths up to 10,000ft (3,000m). I would be interested in comments from our Community on this one!

I am Wubegzier Kebede, A geologist, mine geologist and a university lecturer. Mainly I worked In gold, tantalum and emerald exploration, mining and teach on site for the last decade. Side by side I have experience also in research with nickel (Garnierite) and pegmatite hosted lithium and gem deposits. My goal is to became an exporter and miner of critical minerals in Ethiopia.
